Recall the circumstances of the disappearance of Youssouf Togoïmi:
It was in August 2002 during a military operation against the forces of Deby, the vehicle in which was Youssouf Togoïmi jumped on a remote remote-controlled mine. He had two broken legs. Gaddafi sent an envoy to evacuate on Libya for care. Similarly, when members of his Movement demanded the body to organize the funeral, the same firm refusal was opposed to them.
No news of the missing for long years, although all NGOs were canvassed by members of his Movement. FIDH, Amnesty International, etc ... would not lend ear; Sidiki KABA worse then president of the FIDH had even asked his secretary not to accept appointments to these people! We know their dealings with Gaddafi.
Recently in the fall of Gaddafi, there is hope and a number of steps were initiated towards the new Libyan authorities, or by members of the Toubou community in Libya or by other people initiatives.
Initially, the authorities were very surprised to have no information, no evidence, no documents of his presence in detention ties. It was assumed that it could be in areas not yet liberated areas. No traces of his death on the records at the hospital where he had déplâtré. And still nothing, Youssouf Togoïmi was nowhere. The mystery continued ...
An important development occurred: The extradition of Abdullah Senussi from Mauritania to Libya.
For almost a month, Abdullah Senussi questioned on many issues, both internal policy but also internationally, by the Libyan authorities. The Toubou community in Libya asked the question, among other crucial business: the disappearance of Youssouf Togoïmi. The boss of KHADAFI intelligence services made the following revelations that sources close to the dossier:
"Mr. Youssouf Togoïmi would not make peace with Idriss Deby. From the hospital, he was entrusted to the emissaries of Deby, Moussa KOUSSA (Director of external services)
Mr. Adoum togoi, number 2 of the movement agreed and Abderramán MOUSSA with two other emissaries Deby by special plane, have delivered to Idriss Deby, 4 days after. After that, M Adoum togoi signed the agreement in rallying Idriss Deby and everything is back in order. "
Youssouf Togoïmi was liquidated like so many others after it was delivered like a common packet. Indicate that it is a result of an agreement between the two countries signed before Gaddafi Koti Abbas had agreed to return to Chad.
